Please tell me this flare up can go away at home (23M)
I had pilonidal sinus since when i was a kid. It was pretty manageble since i've never had that major abscesses or cysts or anything, it would flare up slightly but would go down after a while. I've always kept the area clean. It was like that for a decade. But now it's suddenly like this and i am freaking out. I can't go to the ER and i haven't even told my family yet. This is my last year on uni and i just can't take days off from doing my gratuation projects. So i am following the home remedies as much as i can. I've been using castor oil, taking ibuprofens and applying the vinegar-baking soda paste everyday. This is day 3 now and i don't know if it gets better or not. It occasionally leaks from a sinus pit, i apply pressure to the cysts as they leak from the sinus. But the leaking was never enough for it to go away yet. Please tell me what i can do at home and avoid going to the doctor. I can't take any days off. Will this flare up get better eventually?
