update on my pen name search ...got a lot of suggestions from my last post, went down a rabbit hole, and landed on one that keeps coming back to me.

Yselle : pronounced ee-zell

old French rooted, meaning quiet elegance and refinement ... the kind that doesn't announce itself. feels like velvet darkness and candlelight without trying too hard. no strong cultural associations, works everywhere.

does it sound like someone whose writing you'd pick up at midnight and not put down?

still not 100% decided ... honest opinions welcome.

anything too fantasy, too soft, too made up or too common hasn't worked.
