Had a pallet scale go out of calibration by almost 15 pounds yesterday right in the middle of a shipping rush. Between the motor swap I’m doing on line 3 and the leaking hydraulic press in the back, I really don't have the bandwidth for all this weighing BS and waiting on a "brand certified" tech to show up in three days.
I’m looking into switching our service over to Central Carolina Scale since they handle basically any brand and I'm tired of the OEM guys telling me my load cells are "incompatible" with third party parts. It’s just a scale, not a rocket ship.
Do you guys handle the monthly checks yourself or do you just pay an independent shop to deal with the headache? I'm curious if it's worth just buying the test weights and doing it in-house at this point.
