I'm currently making my way through Circles of Power by JMG, with plans to add Paths of Wisdom to my curriculum. Should I invest in either Regardie's black book or Self-Initiation by the Cicero's?

Personal experiences

I made an offering of a brand of coffee I love, appropriately named Deathwish, and the Stalwart King and His Dread Queen seem to enjoy having a cup whenever I speak to them.

Also, Charon seems to like terrible puns. Maybe he just appreciates a sense of humor in his line of work.

Anyone else have unorthodox offerings and similar stories?

I've noticed that just about every book on magick discussing anything derived from the Golden Dawn's lessons tends to deviate in subtle ways. Does this sort of thing affect how you do your rituals?
