Manufacturing Process?
After being on nexplanon for 8 years (replaced every three years, LOVED it) I always asked the doctors the same question when it came time for the removal and reinsertion: how do they get the hormones INSIDE the little stick? No one ever knew, so I finally, like literally just got off the phone with Organon, called them directly to ask. The representative was only able to read directly from the FDA prescribing information which, of course, did not have any info about how the little stick is made. It shares what the stick is made of, and that the hormones are in "serum" form, but how do they get it in there?? Is it injected into a little pocket in the stick or something?
If anyone happens to know any tidbits I would really appreciate it!
