How do I play high without sounding I'm SCREAMING

I have been finally letting myself practice some higher ranged notes like C D E above the staff. I can hit consistently on all three, but it sounds less like other players high notes and more like screaming. I don't really feel like I'm struggling to get the note out either, any tips?

(edit: oops the title was supposed to be sounding like I'm screaming)

Best California State University for BA in Music Education

Hello,

I am about to graduate from my local community college with an associate's degree in business, and I am looking for A CSU to apply to for Music Education.

I've spent the last two semesters volenteering at a local middleschools band as a teachers-aide to see if this is a job I would like to dedicate so much time and money in, and I am 100% sure this is my calling. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to have a preview of this career, as well as, miraculously, free tuition to any California State University.

Any CSU is an option for me, cost is not relevant, but diversity and quality of education is. What CSU do you recommend? Why? Any that I should 100% avoid? Any opinions or thoughts are very welcomed. Thank you!

Hello,

I am looking at universities to transfer to for Fall 2027, and I will be majoring in Music Education. I honestly just googled State Universities with notable music program, and this was one to pop up. If any music majors have any strong opinions on the program, or if anyone has any general opinions or advice when it comes to SJSU, it would be much appreciated.

(also does SJSU have a marching band..? if so is it legit or just meh)

Hello,

I am looking to transfer to a University for music education in a year or so and I am aware that I may need to audition to get in. I've played trumpet for 5 years now, I am a freshman in college, and I've never auditioned for anything musically. I have no idea where to start when choosing a peice, or what difficulty to choose. I play in both Jazz and Symphonic bands so chart recommendations from either would be great! Also any tips for auditioning in general is appreciated as well. Thank you

Hello,

I am looking to transfer to CSUN for a bachelor's in Music Education, I've heard that the music program here is great, but I wanted to see if any students or alumni have a different story. I'm still considering other CSU, but Northridge is in my top. Any advice? Upsides and downsides of attending CSUN in general? Any comments are much appreciated, thank you!
