Sort of a Noob - need advice

Hey all -

I am currently doing a full home reno, and as I am already ripping out a bunch of old low voltage cable (old DSL setup, phone lines, alarm system, some Cat5 that I'm replacing with Cat6, etc.), I figured I might as well also run speaker cables as well. In my prior house, I used to have a 4-amp Sonos system, but like many folks I had issues once they started pushing app updates, so I'm just exploring alternatives this time.

My main use case with the prior setup was - the amps were co-located in my network rack; the speaker wires routed through the walls to power wall-mounted speakers in (1) the living room, (2) the bedroom, (3) my office, and (4) outside on the deck. The amps were ethernet hardwired into the switch that was right next to them. But I never really routed TVs or other inputs to those amps, so it was basically just a multi-room setup for streaming music from anything else connected to the network.

As I consider my design this time, I probably want a similar setup - 3-4 amps that power 3-4 separate zones, that can all be managed via my phone app and play audio to one (or all) of those zones. I will probably take the trouble to route audio lines from TV locations to the amps as well (which will be in my basement next to my network rack).

Given all of that - as I'm looking at the Wiim gear, any advice on what to consider is my question - looks like the Wiim Amp or Wiim Amp Pro are my options, but figured I'd ask the group if I'm headed down the right path, or if I should consider anything else as I'm designing my setup.

Thanks!
