Since getting my first Dan I have decided to read through my copy of the Canon of Judo again.
Pretty crazy to see that Mifune had already devised a technique extremely similar to the modern Kata Guruma we see.
Since getting my Shodan, I've been thinking of getting myself a new double seam white Judogi.
I currently own a 185cm Mizuno Keiko (The Lapel on this is dying to be honest as it's been a daily driver for years) a 180CM Blitz (Was my first Gi have barely worn it since getting the other two) and a Blue Shogun 185CM from Fightart.
I tried getting a Yusho years ago but it was wayy too big on me (Got a size 5) I'm 187cm 80KG with a relatively long Torso.
I'm hesitant between a few different Gi's at the moment.
The Fuji Double Weave, The Mizuno Yusho and the Mizuno Saiki (Has anyone used this? I can't find any reviews at all) and the Fight-Art Shogun in white.
The Shogun seems like the obvious choice as the fit of the blue is great and all in all I love their gi's, but while looking at the stitching inside, some of the double seam on the Blue one I got 2 and a half years ago is already coming undone on one of the armpits.
That said, are the other ones better options? If so, what size should I be looking at, 3.5? I know the Mizuno Yusho has Y sizes so maybe a 4Y ?
Is it worth just shelling out extra and getting a Made in Japan Kusakura?
I'm honestly at a loss and any input would be valuable, thanks.
