Loving plain obi

Recently, I have a thing for plain looking obi. However it needs to have that something something 🤪 the photo can't really capture the beauty of this obi but it looks great in person. With some gold underneath those silver mesh Obidome is a brooch.

I think I have worn this kimono quite a few times in the past few months. However.... It's an awase, which means I have washed and kept it. It's too hot to wear this now. One of my fave. Not going to lie. Hoping the shop has a random 50% off so I could get another cat kimono🤪

Okay... To be honest. It looks wonky. The thing is since I'm already in summer kimono. It also means everything is light. It gets the job done though. Feels sturdy enough but I do wonder if something as heavy as a furisode could be held up nicely. In a way I do think it could. Overall, do I recommend this? Yes.... Especially if you want something portable. It doesn't feel too flimsy but I hope it will hold up well for long term usage.

PS: sorry for only the nagajyuban and obi example. I have already kept my kimono and was on the way out🤪

It's my first time wearing a hakama on my own and it's also my first hakama. I almost freaked out when the strings were too short for me. I almost couldn't tie it at the back. It was raining the entire time too....🫩🫩🫩

I wish the hanhaba obi could be seen more clearly here. It's metallic 🌈🤣🤣🤣. I swear the Hakama felt longer when I was walking but it looked much shorter in photos. Which is a little annoying.

The Hakama exhibition was quite an eye opener for me though it was a humble exhibition.
