Solar Pergola w/ F3800+
Trying to maximize my solar production from my F3800+ safely in Michigan, so I need to take cold weather into account. Am planning out a solar pergola build and am bouncing between 6 500w monofacial panels and 6 450w biracial panels. The monofacial panels would be about 1700 delivered. I could drive 6ish hours and pickup the 450w ones for about 1200 including gas (that price is quickly rising though).
Both should leave headroom on the 165v 17a inputs that would be safe down to -20c. The 500w panels would yield 3000w of the 3200 max on the unit. The 450s would hit 2700. Feels like a lot of watts left on the table.
Am I missing something? Which should I go with? I think the bifacials would look better with the black back vs the white of the mono.
