Hey, I’ve had some algae issues in the past couple months and I could really use some advice.
I got a 7.5 gallon tank 3/4 months ago, I tried to get a good amount of plants in the beginning (and I keep buying more every month because the ones I buy just get completely destroyed by algae) but I still have a lot of algae I’m just not able to get rid of. At first I thought it was normal as the tank was new but now I’m starting to get worried because it just seems to get worse. I’m doing 25% water changes once a week, the tank doesn’t get any direct sunlight and my light is on 8 hours a day. Im planning on getting new fast growing plants again to try and fight the algae but I don’t know if it’ll be enough to get rid of it.
I currently have a single betta fish living in the tank.
Im new to the hobby so Im really trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong, and I’d be more than happy if more experienced hobbyists could give me some advice on how to solve this issue !
