Ma Kakariki sometimes goes 1 legged

Any ideas why ? He doesn't seem to have issue any other time but was wondering why he goes monobicycle in low ground/exposed area like this ? Isn't he supposed to be doing this for sleeping?

( I had him for the last 3 weeks max, he has be rehomed 2 times before that ) He is 8 months old. His name is Ruby

Thanks in advance for your knowledge ☺️

Hello, I've got that lil 8 months old buddy from a lady that didn't wanted to keep him, she had it from her sister and made babies with her female.

I feel like he's sad. I had him for almost a week now.

He sometimes is chill, other time scared and vocal. Thonhe never bite and always up to eat something from hands.

Does he feel like in bad condition? He also sneeze a lot and scratch his nose lately but have been to dusty areas.

Last time he took a bath he became lethargic and shaky, he doing much better now.

He always fly and eat a lot.

Any ideas what I can do for him ?

If I don't close the view of outside, he spend time screaming looking out, same for mirrors..

Thanks by advance

I recently adopted a Kakariki that is 8 months old. I believe it is raised by hand, but barely. The previous lady that had him was the sister of the previous previous lady that had him. So in the span of 8 months he got abandoned by two homes. And in the second one he had made the deed with the female of that previous owner.

I was a kid last time I had a birb, so let's say I'm not a pro. But when I saw him I felt like it was wrong to separate them. They were doing the deed when I arrived. But the lady told me " Nooo you know it's ok, with animals find him another one and he'll be happy ".

The thing is now that he is with me I'm pretty sure I was right, separating them was bad idea. But that lady was urging to sell it because she was mad that her female was laying eggs.

He was kinda scared when I arrived, she struggled to get him into the cage, honestly with me in about two days he was already bathing in my hands so the bond is building up, doing my best to be patient but nonetheless when he sees a reflect of himself or feel lonely you can hear that sort of sad call, "looking for" kind of head movements behaviour that makes me sad.

Any advices or questions? So I can better help you to help me lol

PS: sorry english me bad me no english

I also have few worries about his health. He started sneezing, not much but I feel like the frequency is abnormally high for a birb, no liquid around the beak or eyes tho but still. I've read a toooon of things. So what I'm asking here is what I could not gather on internet.

Also his feets are not pink, they feel like slightly greyish, doesn't look healthy either. Are the colors different from one to another or the colors can show health issue's?

Cage is medium, lot of natural branches, if I can tomorrow I'll take pictures. He sleeping and don't want to wake him up

Thanks to any of you that can give me valuable advices
