Some weeks ago decided to try Linux, at first i felt kinda overwhelmed with preparation to installation (of course i was the reason) and process itsefl but once i've made it work it just.... works! I felt like i've been lost in the darkness for years and finally found light the spark and joy of doing things on my PC. The "haha its thinking" while watching terminal goes remind me of time when i used to watch HDD diode blinks.
Drivers? Already here
Office? Just open the software manager and choose libre or only installed in SECONDS.
Wanna do some desktop customization? Go ahead you can bring feel of win XP even if you Just want to
Ok but the hardest trial - 10yo printer which always refused to work which feel fear of me and always took advantage of it. Usb plugged and thats it it just printed the shit out of only office without any issues IN SECONDS! not hours of cry and begging like on windows.
Ok lets play some games, steam downloaded from app store of course, first game - runs, second game - runs, third - error. Ok thats surprise but of course there is a forum where someone tells in steps how to handle that and the forum is live society not a forgotten desert with last active user left in 2008.
Ok but what about out of steam game with custom client for private servers? Works!
Seriously all issues i have faced are so easy to resolve with help of Google and common sense. Im not a programmer or geek even Just guy who can use google a bit better than people who usually calls me for help with thier PC.
If there is an issue there is a solution. On windows? Haha tried you restart your pc? Did not work? Well you gotta live with that it seems, what a shame...
Free, no malware, no bloatware, clean, simple and Just works. I 've should done that years ago.
