FE 4 Chapitre 5 rescue "B"
I was stuck on Chapter 5 of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War trying to save Byron.
He kept dying on enemy phase (round 2) and I was literally 1 tile away from reaching him. My save was stuck on round 2 impossible to reset de chapter (some user says that you won't have the sacred weapon if byron die so i had to do something else to save him
Since I was playing on a patched English ROM with Snes9x, most cheat codes online either didn’t work or caused weird behavior.
After using Cheat Search, I found Byron’s HP address:
7E332F
Byron had 20 HP initially
after taking damage he dropped to 7 HP
changing the value at 7E332F successfully modified his HP in real time
What I personally did:
I restored him back to 20 HP / 20 HP
I avoided going above the normal cap to reduce the risk of bugs/crashes
Quick method (Snes9x):
Open Cheats → Search for New Cheats
Search Byron’s current HP value
Let him take damage
Search the new HP value
Modify address 7E332F
