Charger-Adapter Replacement (Zephyrus G14, GA402RJ)
Hey all,
Either my adapter or the barrel port itself is going out. I'd like to replace the adapter before cracking open the computer and trying to replace the barrel port itself.
Finding an OEM replacement charger adapter has proven unusually difficult. Can't seem to find one from the usual sources, like MicroCenter, Best Buy, or Amazon(all the ones on amazon seem to be the wrong charger advertised as the right one).
The specific model adapter that I have is a20-240p1a. The computer is a g14 ga402rj, which I believe is the 2022 model.
Can anyone suggest some lesser known vendors? Or maybe a compatible, yet different model number? This reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusM16/comments/y6h9k8/where\_can\_i\_buy\_another\_charger\_in\_the\_us/) suggests that there are other chargers compatible, do you have any experience with this? One of the commenters say that the 240EB will cap my GPU to only 50W since it isn't the exact prescribed adapter. Can't have that.
Just want to fix my non-charging issue and get back to it. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
