“Sections show fragments of a fibroepithelial lesion with a leaf-like architecture and an intracanalicular growth pattern. There is stromal expansion with prominent myxoid-type stromal change. Stromal cellularity is not increased, and there is no stromal atypia, mitotic activity, or necrosis identified. Some fragments show fragmented leaf-like architecture. The epithelial component appears benign without atypia. Overall features are of a fibroepithelial lesion with overlapping features between fibroadenoma and benign phyllodes tumour.”

So my biopsy results finally came back today on My Chart. Turns out it’s either a benign phyllodes tumour or a fibroadenoma. I will likely need to get a lumpectomy to remove the tumour but no cancer was found from my core needle biopsy. 🎉🍾
