Hello everyone I need your advice on something. I am an undergrad studying computer science in Africa and I am in my first year. With the advancement of AI I am confused, and out of ideas on how to scale through this when I graduate. Because I have heard that programming is dead, Computer science is not relevant again, SWE will not exist and so many other things.
I am just asking for advice from you veterans and people knowledgeable of the workings of the tech industry. What can I do so that I do not suffer because of the decisions of corporations downsizing their workforce and the fast advancement of AI?
Because I love computer science but how can I push through and thrive. I would love the harsh and bitter truth if you want to give it to me.
