Please, school me on Azalea Indica (Satsuki) varieties / cultivars

As title says. I can see A LOT of Azalea subspecies. All of them are "Indica", which to my understanting is Satsuki? But there are for example: yoshisuki, sisen, aozora, asuka, juko, gyoten, nodoka and many, many more...

I tried to do a research but there's not so many information around and most of them doesn't seem to be trust-worthy.

  1. Are all "indicas" are indeed "satsuki"? What does that exactly mean except the literal translation regarding fifth month?
  2. What are the main differences between each variety/cultivar and which one are the best suited for bonsai?
  3. Does it impacts flower color? Can a single azalea bloom in different colors each year? Or is it predetermined for every specimen? I would love to hear some extensive explanation from someone with real experience with Azaleas.
  4. Are some of these cultivars easier / harder to care for?

Thank You very much!

PS. All of my previous posts were asked on Weekly Threads but this time I feel it has a place as a separate topic. I hope it does :)
