My thoughts

I thought this was a made up drama series. Or Mockumentary until it kept on saying documentary and I looked up Brightocular. Very surprised that the company is real?

I wished they done a proper introduction with all the patients from the beginning. Names, how old they are, what they all do for work? Is David a Taxi driver? We know nothing of their backgrounds.

It's always people with Brown eyes changing their eyes. With out Brown eyed people Brightocular would have no business.

His friend is very level headed.

When David tells his mother he's coming to visit she says "there's gotta be a reason" implying that he doesn't visit often. They have a great time dancing that was fun to watch. I can't fault his mother [the doc could have put up all the names.] His mother is elderly and old school. She explains perfectly why she has/had a hard time dealing with David's queerness. She was probably asked by the director. When she pushes back against David possibly getting breasts. I'm not surprised. Like I said she's old school. She barely wrapped her head around him being gay. So a gender change would really startle her. She did rush out to comfort him when he got upset. People are giving her a hard time here. But imo, her love for her son is obvious.

What's stopping Jasmine from driving a Bentley or getting diamonds with brown eyes? She's pretty either way? Does she think that Frost eyes equal rich men?

The Asian guy - there should have been an interpreter arranged for him, or they should have told him that he can't go there without a family member or friend bc, he doesn't understand the technicians and they barely understand him. And the guy said "Your eyes are bad" So doesn't that disqualify him from the surgery then? How can the Asian guy have the procedure when it's CLEAR That he can't understand much English? It's so unprofessional to allow this guy to have this procedure, and there's no follow up with him either?

All of them are talking about how suspect BrightOcular is, it's not FDA approved or regulated, but they are still happy to go through with this???

Menachem getting eyes surgery as an underwear model is funny to me.

It's so obvious that with Izzy [the only girl] that Nic in her eye wasn't created by the surgeon. That's BS. The implant just has a little nic in it. The nurse in red is really annoying saying "Why are you worried? You got it for cosmetic reasons" I know there's a language barrier, but she's making no sense and she's being really aggressive to a patient that has a good reason to be concerned. Having a cosmetic surgery go wrong is worrying. Especially when you make a living from your looks.

David's line is a classic "Oh damn there a body in here!"

As he's in the surgery room he's asking about sedation? They have him Jade green but he wanted 3g Frost Gray. He repeated the colour he wanted and the manager reassured him he would get frost gray.

"David - This is why you don't do 3 people at one time!" Hes right though..........

The manager wants to swap Davids implant with another guys, it takes David the patient to call out how gross that is? Are these people really professionals? The manager said that she can change it, but there's no apology. If David is so angry at the eye colour why doesn't he just get the Jade green removed? You don't have to go through with it?

David was wrong to bring up the car. His mother sold him the car for half price, what's the problem? She's right David and his sibling should be buying her cars, she's seventy years old? He walks away claiming bad energy, but he's the one that brought the car up? You're mother is not rich and he expects a free car? It's hard to believe that he's 50. He acts so much younger?

With his new eyes, he got so much more confidence and moves to NY. Calling someone that you haven't called in 10 years? Why? It's not a great place, but it's cheap,

David Trans friend speaks a lot of sense. He seems so much happier in NY. I don't whether it's because the eye gave him confidence or, bc he's in a new place.

Glad that a professional doctor, in a hospital told him the truth about the implants.

David is fifty but acts like a Teen on Instagram.

The patient blue background montage [with names] should have been put at the beginning it was great!

Is the guy that David is talking to on the phone his boyfriend? Who also had trouble with the implants.

When people look at David do they just think "Cool contacts" or do they think they are his natural eyes?

I'm glad that he decided to get them removed.

Both David and his mother need therapy. It was sad when she was venting but it looked like she needed that?

So David has the surgery and goes back to having brown eyes. I wonder what happens to him mentally after that? I'll have to check his SM for updates, but it's a shame the Doc didn't focus on the other patients as well, bc what happened to all the people in Daivd's group that got their eyes done?
