SSD recommendation for first Gaming PC?

Hey guys! I posted earlier regarding my PC build and one thing that I was told would probably be worth changing was the SSD (1TB Kingston NV3 NVME). I only got that one because it was the cheapest I could find. I live in Canada so as you might imagine the prices are…especially unfortunate.

I’m looking for a different one now to be my main drive, but I was just wondering what SSD would y’all recommend? What would be considered a reasonable price to spend on an SSD?

I was considering the Crucial P310, but I think that may not be too different from the Kingston NV3 (I think)

Thanks!

I’m working on my First Gaming PC, Looking for input!

Hey everyone, I'm about to start building my first PC (Upgrading from a 3060 6GB VRAM Laptop to a desktop setup). I did as much research as I could, but I was hoping to get some input on the build.

GPU: PNY GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 Video Card

CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X

Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (I used the RAM + CPU combo on Newegg and got them for around $750 CAD. Individually, the RAM was $699, and the CPU was $319 at the time.)

SSD: Kingston NV3 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

PSU: ASRock Phantom Gaming PG-850G 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Case: Lian Li Vector V100R ATX Mid Tower Case

Monitor: Asus ROG Strix XG27ACG 27.0" 2560 x 1440 180 Hz Monitor

Cooler: Still trying to figure out what to get.

Now, for context, I panic-bought the GPU back in January when I heard that there was about to be a GPU shortage (I now realize that may not have been the wisest move), so that's the only part I can't do much to swap. Everything else is still within the return window or has yet to be purchased.

I was wondering, what kind of CPU Cooler I should get? I hear the 7700X runs pretty hot, so I am not sure if an air cooler would be enough. However, on the other hand, AIOs are a decent bit more expensive. Any recommendations on Air cooler/AIOs?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
