Need some adivce from good players

1-Im new to the game and when it comes to medieval style things I always use greatswords but idk if its good im fine with it being meh but if its like bottom 3 im not gonna grind my knight to lvl 18
2-whats a good way to lvl up fast what mode is best, what play style do I gotta do stuff like that would help
