I moved to a different country recently. When I did, my App Store region changed. This wiped out every subscription I had.
I started reaching out to the apps I was subscribed to. Most of them were helpful (all except Bevel). They manually restored my old subscriptions at the original price I was paying (gave me discount codes to subscribe to original price). Problem solved with them.
Then I contacted Bevel. They told me Apple was the only one who could help. So I contacted Apple support instead.
Apple told me the opposite. They said only Bevel (the developers) could restore my subscription.
So I went back to Bevel and told them what Apple said. Their response? "We can't do anything."
What really frustrates me is that I was already paying for Bevel before the pricing changed. I should be grandfathered into my old price, just like the other apps did for me. But instead, Bevel wants me to pay their new, much higher price.
I feel like they're just using the region change as an excuse to force me onto a worse deal. I'm really really disappointed.
