Restaurants that cater to Low Fodmap foods - Solo Birthday

Hey, I recently moved to Durban. I’m in the process of healing my gut and cannot eat a lot of foods / curries / cuisines being sold.

I want to know if there are any specialty food places, or maybe cooks as well. Where I can buy gluten dairy free desserts, breakfast, supper, braai etc. My birthday is coming up. Does Durban have these offerings? I don’t want to have to buy plant dairy free ice cream from Woolies, or have home made food for the weekend. I just want to treat myself and possibly go to the beach as well. Just to have a simple birthday. I’ll be spending it solo, and that’s already something on its own.

But a cake would make me even more happy but that seems far fetched.

Hi, I want to by an apartment. I’ll be taking a home loan. And I’m willing to part with R15k monthly (inclusive of rates, taxes and levies) is it possible so that I can save towards my Investments portfolio R6.5- R7k per month. I know I’m pushing it, Or no? What other places would you recommend? I’m not looking for a suburban area that has nothing but families. I want a city like vibe but obviously on a budget.

Currency in ZAR: South African
My current expenses are:

Rent : R6500
Food and Toiletry - R4500
Home - R2000
Transport - R1000
Paying of Debt and School (Will be paid off before buying apartment) ~ R4000
Pay Tithe - ~ R3.3k-R3.45k
have a remainder of - R11250

So am I pushing it???
