I am getting an ultra soon, there is a 50/50 chance between me keeping the stock battery and motor or eventually fully building it out. If there is a 50/50 chance can you buy the max controller and run it with the stock battery and motor? If there are no downsides to doing it and I just need to pay the extra money I would get the best one.
I am going to sell my talaria x3 most likley over summer, I ride street basically all the time and I have a decent amount of parts like ultra brakes, bomber 58s, and basic other stuff too. From what I have heard so far I am looking at an lbx because I will still be able to combo easily because of similar size, while being better build quality, way quicker (if fully built with controller battery and maybe motor), and of course looking better because it would most likely have a powder coat. The ultra bee would be better as I would most likely only put a controller on it with other basic upgrades so it would be cheaper, while being similar speeds and looking more impressive to wheelie. I am scared I might be too short to combo or do tricks like criss cross in wheelies because I am 5' 7 (but still growing). If I got a lbx I would buy it off marketplace with a powder coat at least, and if I can not find any listings that fit my entire criteria I would be flexible with buying/installing the upgrades myself. For the ultra bee I would buy it off alibaba and buy a vtb controller and possibly a battery or motor later on (most likley would keep to just a controller). I am really debating between the two because if I am going to buy an lbx I will probably take off my bomber 58s and save it for the next bike which changes how I will be selling my current bike.
