Barry BMS or Tufts MBS?
I am pursing a masters to strengthen my GPA for dental school applications. I was accepted to both Barry and Tufts and am having trouble deciding. Tufts is a more prestigious program and claims a 99% acceptance rate to dental schools and a guaranteed interview to Tufts Dental but it doesn’t start until August and cost is around 100k.
Barry does not offer guaranteed interviews to any schools l’m interested in applying to and it is not affiliated with a specific dental school but it would allow me to start in May and would only be about 40k. Barry also has flexible online options which would allow me to save money. But the biggest advantage is being able to include summer grades in my application and getting new LOR this cycle.
Is it worth it to do Barry solely because of the cost and the fact that it allows me to start sooner and update grades sooner? I am planning on applying this cycle while I’m still in the masters and updating my grades so Barry would allow me to submit summer grades and update schools by August.
If anyone has done either one of the programs and gotten into dental school please let me know!
