These are my MRI. I still have pain every morning when I wake up that lasts all day. Injury happened 2/27. Still am not able to do a lot. Do I get surgery? Epidural? Keep going to PT? Results of mri are below.

Level by level:

L1-L2: No disc herniation, canal, or foraminal stenosis.

L2-L3: No disc herniation, canal, or foraminal stenosis.

L3-L4: Small right paracentral protrusion minimally indents the thecal sac without spinal canal or foraminal stenosis.

L4-L5: 5.6 mm left paracentral/lateral extrusion migrates 9 mm above the disc space and indents the thecal sac with moderate lefi lateral recess stenosis, contact and possible impingement of the left L5 nerve root. Mild spinal stenosis. No foraminal stenosis.

L5-S1: Moderate disc height loss with small left lateral disc osteophyte complex without mass effect upon the left S1 nerve root. N spinal canal or right foraminal stenosis. Mild to moderate left foraminal stenosis.

IMPRESSION:

  1. Multilevel spondylosis is noted including a 5.6mm left paracentral/lateral disc extrusion at L4-L5 with moderate left lateral reces stenosis, contact and possible impingement of the left L5 nerve root.

  2. No high-grade spinal stenosis.

  3. Mild to moderate left foraminal stenosis at L5-S1.
