The first time, I was walking my dog when another dog ran at us. It became tense quickly, but my boyfriend was able to get close enough to secure the dog and contact the owner. They later realized their gate had been left open.
Then today, I saw a small dog wandering alone near a partially open fence. I pulled over, and the dog ran back into the yard when I approached. I shut the gate behind the little guy and notified the owner through the ring doorbell who wasn’t aware the fence had been left open.
Please double check that your gates are fully closed before letting your dogs out. This is how dogs go missing, get hit by cars, or end up in dangerous situations.
