So with these gas prices I'm trying to start planning ahead and could use some input on this idea. I can't drive yet, but I compete in barrel racing and I got this idea suddenly. Would it be fair if I invited someone older and able to drive (with my dad's truck and 2 horse trailer) and let them bring a horse to compete with and split gas? Currently my Dad is driving me everywhere but I can tell he is starting to get bored waking up early every weekend and spending so much time doing this. I'm also open to suggestions if anyone has ideas.

A few extra details here:

My mom doesn't want anything to do with horses

The farthest races I go to are 2 hours away. (Probably closer to an hour drive normally)
