Hey r/startupindia,

About a month ago, I posted my initial MVP here. I left an 8-year career as an Area Sales Manager back in January to build a tool for day traders.

My thesis was simple: Strategy is 20% of trading; psychology is the other 80%. I wanted to build a performance journal that audited a trader's emotional discipline, not just their P&L.

The Reality Check: The initial feedback was fair but tough. I realized my original version was too static. It was basically a glorified spreadsheet, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid.

The Pivot: I am an Electrical Engineer and MBA by education, not a professional developer. So, over the last few weeks, I leaned heavily on AI to help me push my coding limits (React, Node.js, Firebase) and completely overhaul the platform.

This April, I dropped the static reports and built a fully interactive AI Psychology Coach into TradiusPro.

  • Instead of just logging trades, the system now actively audits your inputs for behavioral leaks (like revenge trading or moving stop losses).
  • It is designed purely as an accountability mirror. (Just to be clear: no real-time market data, and absolutely no automated trading bots).

The Ask: Being a solo founder means I am designing, coding, and marketing in a silo. I need some brutal, unfiltered feedback from this community to make sure I am actually moving in the right direction.

  1. For the Devs: How does the UI/UX feel on the new interactive coach? Any advice on managing database reads in Firebase as user logs get heavier?
  2. For the Founders: Is the messaging on the landing page clear enough, or does it still sound too corporate?

Look at the P&L chart in the first screenshot. I was literally 2% away from passing my account. Then, out of nowhere, a massive losing streak started. Within days, I wiped out all my profits and tanked below my starting balance.

If you look at the daily P&L, from April 20th to April 29th, it was just a sea of red.

Normally, this is the part where I would tilt completely, increase my lot size, and blow the account into oblivion. But this time, I forced myself to do something different. I started using a custom journaling tool I built to meticulously document not just the setups, but my exact emotional triggers, thoughts, and behaviors the moment things went wrong.

You can see the log in the second screenshot. It is brutally honest:

  • April 24th: I was deep in drawdown, nearing my starting balance. My only thought was "To get it back." My emotions were frustrated, angry, and anxious. The result? Pure FOMO, greed, and revenge trading. I was seeing "trends" everywhere just because I wanted to recover.
  • April 30th: I missed a trade on EURUSD. I got angry and regretful. Because of that, I forced an impulsive trade with a tight stop just to be in the market, ignoring all risk protocols.
  • May 1st: I took a loss on my first XAUUSD trade. But because I had been tracking this toxic cycle, I recognized the trigger. My emotion stayed "Normal." My action? Not reacted and waited. No mistake made.

Mapping out the exact connection between my triggers (e.g., missing a trade, dropping below starting balance) and my trading mistakes (revenge trading, tightening SLs illogically) was a massive wake-up call. It forces you to shift from a "money-making mindset" back to a "performance-based mindset."

I highly recommend this level of documentation for anybody struggling with their emotions after a deep drawdown. Standard P&L tracking won't fix your mindset.

Don't get me wrong, it’s too early to celebrate. I’m slowly clawing my way back (as you can see on the right side of the chart), but I might still blow up the account 😂. But at least this time, if I do, I'll have the exact documentation of how my own psychology took me out.

Has anyone else tried tracking their specific emotional triggers alongside their trades? How do you break the cycle when you are inches away from the finish line and suddenly tank?
