Hi guys, (20 M) I’ve been dealing with chest and stomach issues for a long time now. I recently had an endoscopy and biopsies done, and the results showed severe lactose intolerance, mild chronic gastritis, and chronic duodenitis. Thankfully no cancer, ulcers, H. pylori, or anything dangerous showed up.
What confuses me is that my main pain is actually in the middle of my chest, not really my stomach. I also constantly get popping/cracking sounds in my chest whenever I stretch or move certain ways. Sometimes the pain feels sore or tight around the breastbone area.
Doctors found only very mild esophagus irritation, so now I’m wondering if part of this could also be costochondritis or muscle/cartilage inflammation on top of the gastritis/reflux issues.
Has anyone else had gastritis/reflux but mostly felt it in the chest instead of the stomach? And does anyone get the chest popping sounds too?
