Thinking about a shotgun for home defense.
I've recently got back into shooting and buying Guns after 15 years. I just recently got a 9mm. I've been looking at guns for home defense, I'm not a very big guy 5'6 130 pounds. I was looking at the maverick 88 youth 20-gauge because I haven't shot a shotgun in ages. I think it's for the younger crowd and for beginners.
My biggest worry is the recoil. I know I'll need to practice with it. however, I wanted something a little smaller Because of the hallways and I can "control" better. I guess I'm not looking to jack up my shoulder and being completely useless in a bad spot.
Does anyone have any better recommendations or would this be an ideal gun for starting out? I don't want to use the 9mm as some people worry about the neighbors and causing harm to others if the bullet manages to go a wall or something. (That's the argument I hear most). I'm just looking for a little insight thank you.
