Kpop fans thinking things their favorite groups do are deeper/more novel than they are

Tonight I saw a bunch of BTS fans online pretending shooting off fireworks at the end of a show is some never before done genius idea and idk...it just started to annoy me the more I thought about it

  • included stuff like "it's so thoughtful of BTS to do fireworks at the end so fans don't leave sad"

ALSO, and the one that got me to write this post, "so smart they shot the fireworks so we had to turn away from the screens so we wouldn't have to be sad watching the boys leave the stage". I'm sorry, whaaaaat. Stop it. I mean Jesus, do yall go "omg so thoughtful letting us have a bit more oxygen by holding their breath at one point during a song! So kind ahhhh"

super minor. the world will keep turning. but Jesus Christ, kpop fans, understand that when your favorite group does something super common like use big screens ("they think of everything. it's so the fans in the back can see!") or shoot off fireworks to close a show, that's special but it is NOT original.

You can love whatever artists you want but there are so many unhealthy parasocial relationships kpop fans have with "idols". many of those fans also work as unpaid record label promotions employees literally going down spreadsheets and spamming radio stations requests (using inappropriate categories in the contact us form like pretending it is a community event or ad purchase request).

tldr kpop fans think tons of things their favorite group/gods do have never been done before and it peeves me

Edit: I had more to rant about. Sorry (lying, I am not sorry)
