One year in the bag, 60lbs down
Not the strongest responder ever, but I’m down 50 lbs in a year from 280 to 229. First time in years that I’ve been below obese class 3. :)

My kiddo (ASD L1/2, 6yo) has had a rough year and finally crossed a big line, impulsively patting a classmate’s privates and then laughing about it. She’s very impulsive and emotional - this whole year has been one huge meltdown after another typically resulting in physical altercation. Her school has refused to provide 1:1 support or anything other than to constantly report that she kicked this kid or pushed that kid and then wouldn’t talk about it - they can never provide context, just “X hit Y at recess.” And hilariously this latest incident has resulted in them putting into her safety plan that her teacher will personally escort her to and from recess so she doesn’t touch anyone again while waiting in line - so 1:1 support. At this point they’re doing everything but admitting that she needs to have a para to intervene in impulsive behaviors at least until we can get her on a medication regimen.
Long story short I feel like she’s kind of ruined her ability to succeed in this school, medication or not, and maybe it’s defeatist of me but I just want to run and start over in the city with a strong school and a strong support team. Am I delusional? 🫠
