I spent months preparing. I thought I did everything right.
Still got rejected.
GSoC was something I genuinely wanted, not just for the resume line. I wanted to prove to myself I could do it. That I belonged in that space.
It's hard when you try your hardest and it's still not enough. Just needed to get that out.
