I rarely get time with adults anymore since I have a young child. Its even more rare to find someone my age with a similar age child.

I spend alot of time alone with kiddo as a SAHM and it gets lonely.

I want to talk about something other than kid stuff which is the go to convo when im out with kiddo. I do a bit of gaming, alot of cooking/baking, and am always up for just the rando subject convo. I also enjoy horror/creepy stuff so always down for a good scary story.

This happened when I was a kid, maybe 9 or 10, late 90's.

We had gone up just above Georgetown, CO(before they paved the road). Once we found camp and set up I went out in the woods alone. I tried to make sure to go in one direction as not to get lost or go too far since it was getting dark. Maybe 5 mins into this walk I see something blue on the ground in the distance. As I get closer I start to see kids toys strewn about and on top of a flat tent. This tent was still staked in the ground yet flat. I just stand there and stare as I realize there are slash marks in this tent, not from an animal, I've seen that when a bear or something mauled the boys cabin at outdoor ed.

I wasn't sure what to make of it. I even showed my brothers and they couldn't explain it either. We left it alone but to this day I sometimes think about it and wonder, what was with the kids toys?
