Weird Gally - Possible Removal

Howdy

I have a strange gallbladder and just wanted to share my experience and maybe see if anyone else has had something similar going on.

About a year ago I started having appetite changes and at this point I’m down 40 pounds without trying to lose it. I’ve always had a pretty healthy appetite so to not want food a lot of the time was definitely new.

I have waves of nausea. I’ve never thrown up from them but definitely could if I gave a bit of effort. The waves are also not constant, maybe a couple times a day but especially first thing in the morning - rolling over in bed and getting out of bed.

I’m usually a go #2 once a day kinda person, but the past couple months have been maybe 2-3 times per day. Nothing wild just soft. Sorry for that info lol

I had an ultrasound done at the beginning of April, normal. No stones, nothing. I had a HIDA scan done on Tuesday and those results were also normal with 48% EF. There’s more to the HIDA - my gallbladder would not fill until I walked around for 20 minutes. It finally filled and showed up at the 2 hour mark. The entire test took almost 4 hours. Also I was super sore the day after. So sore I left work early to go home and lay down. I told my PCP all this and she said it needs to come out. Waiting to talk to a general surgeon now.

I have always been able to eat anything without any issues. Very strong stomach and it’s extremely rare that I will even get heartburn. Even the day after the scan when I was sore I ate a meal that I probably should not have eaten and had no post meal pain or issues, no added soreness, just got kinda gassy. I never had any pain or discomfort in the gallbladder area until the ultrasound and then after the HIDA. None at all. Couldn’t have even told you where my gally was bc I just didn’t ever feel anything. But doing these tests on it has definitely made me feel a lot of pressure/heaviness/soreness after them. Also I have PCOS and have never had pain with ovarian cysts, don’t know why that might be relevant but apparently that is super strange too.

I can’t find any other stories like mine where there was no gallbladder attack but still some other symptoms but maybe I’m just missing them? I’m nervous for surgery and recovery but I’ve heard good things from others experiences so hoping mine goes good all around (if the surgeon wants to remove, of course).

Anyone had a similar experience where removal surgery was also recommended?

Hey guys,

I’m not pregnant yet but we plan to start trying soon and I’m getting excited and trying to think of baby names. My name is Brooklyn and my husband’s name is Hudson. So he’s a river and I’m a bridge, right? That’s the theme here lol. Please help with some cute boy and girl names!! Open to middle names too
