Gtv Film and TV stage 2 “exceptionally complex issues” email received
Hi everyone,
I’m currently applying for a UK Global Talent Visa (Film & TV / PACT endorsement route) from inside the UK and I’m getting quite anxious about my Stage 2 timeline, so I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
Timeline:
- Stage 1 (PACT endorsement) approved on 29th April 2026
- Applied for Stage 2 inside the UK
- Paid for Priority service (5 working days)
- Biometrics on 5th May 2026
- On the last day ( which is today 12/06/2026) of Priority processing I received a “exceptionally complex issues” email
What’s making me particularly anxious is that I had a previous Skilled Worker visa application last year which also went beyond Priority processing and eventually resulted in an interview months later before finally being approved.
This time the email included:
“We expect to conclude your application by 09 June 2026”
Last time I didn’t receive any estimated completion date at all, so I’m not sure whether this is just a standard NSF buffer or something more serious. Also I failed to understand what in particular raised the “complex issues” and what are the “issues” exactly.
For context:
- I’m currently still legally in the UK
- My current Skilled Worker visa is still valid until June 22
- No overstaying or immigration breaches
- Previous applications were ultimately approved
Has anyone here received a similar “exceptionally complex issues” email for Global Talent Stage 2 and still been approved without interview/additional documents?
Would really appreciate hearing other people’s timelines/experiences.
