“I have been observing something in society across different religions. Many people still follow superstitions that can be dangerous, even life-threatening.

For example, in my village, when someone is bitten by a snake or a dog, instead of going to a hospital, some people prefer religious treatments—like reciting mantras or verses—believing these will cure them instead of medical treatment like antivenom or anti-rabies injections.

These people are often innocent and rely on past experiences where someone survived. But they don’t realize that in those cases, the snake may not have been venomous, or the dog may not have been infected with rabies.

In reality, if the snake is venomous or the dog carries rabies, then without proper medical treatment, survival is almost impossible.

So my question is: isn’t this kind of blind belief effectively a misuse of religion, especially when it puts human lives at serious risk?”
