So i was told by teacher to do comping with Lh root Rh guide tones then LH guide tone RH melody. The song still sounds kinda empty idk, what would be the next step in this process? Not sure when ill see them again since there going thru some stuff.
To start im an early intermediate who had my teacher wanted me to perform because she didnt really had any other students performing and I wanted to so I did but she didnt show. Either way my nerves gave in and I couldnt even get halfway thru a song I perfectly recorded myself playing and walked out.
This isn't the first time my teacher did not show up to a recital (or did but very late). I am getting lessons at one of those lesson shops that give lessons for all instruments, but most of their clients are kids so im the oldest piano player apart from the elderly. Almost all of the teachers that teach piano are way younger than me, like fresh twenty college music students and any substitute that swaps in for my teacher has a difficult time trying to utilize the lesson time because what I am doing with my teacher is way above there skill.
Do most of you guys have private teachers not in a lesson shop or something? I just wanna know what my options are.
