Torn between options, in a tencel sheets and bamboo comparison which one feels better long term

I’ve been trying to upgrade my bedding because I sleep kinda hot and my current sheets either feel too rough or get uncomfortable after a few washes. I keep reading mixed stuff online so I can’t tell what’s actually true vs marketing talk.

Right now I’m choosing between tencel and bamboo. People say both are soft and cooling, but then I also see comments saying bamboo gets rough over time or tencel wrinkles easily or doesn’t last depending on brand.

That’s where I’m getting confused… I don’t just want “feels good on day one,” I want something that still feels decent after months of washing and real use.

If anyone here has actually used both long term, which one held up better? Like softness, breathability, durability, all that.

Also if you’ve got a brand you trust that didn’t turn bad after a few washes, I’d really appreciate real experiences. I’m trying to avoid wasting money again on hype.

Been dealing with neck and shoulder pain for months now and I’m honestly tired of wasting money on pillows that feel good for 2 nights then turn into a brick or go flat. I sleep mostly on my side and half the time I wake up with numb arms or a stiff neck. Saw this Kontour pillow online and the shape actually looks like it could help side sleepers, but reviews online feel fake as hell lately.

Has anyone here actually used a kontour pillow long term? Like real experience, not “slept amazing first night” type reviews. Did it actually help with pressure and keeping your neck aligned or is it just another overhyped memory foam thing?

I just want something reliable at this point because bad sleep is messing with my mood and focus every day. Would appreciate honest feedback before I spend more money again.

I’ve been struggling way too long with pillow height and honestly it’s getting annoying at this point.

I keep switching between pillows because nothing feels “right” — either my neck is too high and I wake up stiff, or it’s too flat and I feel like I’m sinking weirdly into the mattress. I tried firm pillows, soft ones, even some “orthopedic” ones, but still not consistent.

Now I keep seeing shredded memory foam pillows that are adjustable loft, where you can add/remove filling. On paper it sounds like the perfect solution, but I’m not sure if it actually works in real life or if it’s just another marketing thing.

Has anyone actually used one long-term? Does it stay comfortable or does it end up clumping or losing support after a few months?

Also, if anyone has a reliable brand that actually holds up and doesn’t turn flat or lumpy, I’d really appreciate recommendations. I’m just trying to get decent sleep without constantly overthinking a damn pillow every night.

hey everyone,

i’ve been seeing velvet duvet covers everywhere lately and honestly they look really nice, like that soft, rich vibe that makes a bedroom feel more “put together”. but i’m kinda stuck wondering if they’re actually practical or just one of those things that looks good in photos but is annoying in real life.

i’ve been trying to upgrade my bedding and find something that feels cozy but also lasts, and it’s been lowkey frustrating trying to figure out what’s worth the money. some reviews say velvet gets hot, others say it collects dust or is hard to wash, and then some people swear by it.

so i wanted to ask people who’ve actually used them long-term — are velvet duvet covers comfortable day to day? do they hold up after washing, or do they lose that nice texture fast?

also if anyone has brand recommendations that actually feel reliable and not just aesthetic-focused, that would really help. i’m trying to avoid wasting money on something that ends up being just decorative.

Winter is getting close and honestly I’m already stressing about sleep. My room gets really cold at night and my current sheets feel like ice when I get in bed. It takes forever to warm up and it’s messing with my sleep bad.

I keep seeing people talk about flannel sheets being super cozy, but I don’t know if that’s just hype or actually worth it. Like do they really stay warm through the night or do they end up feeling heavy or uncomfortable?

Also I’m trying to find something that lasts. I don’t want to waste money on a set that pills after a few washes or loses that soft feeling. There are so many brands and price ranges and I can’t tell what’s actually good vs just marketing.

If anyone here has real experience with flannel sheets, what did you get and how did it hold up over time? Are they actually a game changer for winter or just overrated?
