Passenger told me what they paid and I almost lost it

Had a ride last night from the airport to a hotel about 25 miles away. Decent run, traffic wasn't bad, got them there in good time. After we arrive the guy asks me how much I made on the trip. I said around twenty two dollars. He pulls out his phone and shows me his receipt. Fifty seven dollars. He paid fifty seven and I got twenty two. That's not even the worst part. He was a nice guy and tipped me five bucks cash. But still. Uber took more than double what I made. For what exactly? Their app that crashes half the time and their non existent support. I don't know how much longer I can do this without feeling like a complete sucker. Anyone else have days where you just want to park the car and walk away? What keeps you going.

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on this. Some people swear by specific days/times, others say it barely matters if everything else is solid. I’ve tested a few variations but haven’t seen anything super consistent yet. Curious if anyone here has actually seen a clear pattern with timing or if it’s overhyped.

I was refused recently for Italy.

trying to figure out if I should reapply soon or wait and strengthen my case.

for those who were approved after a refusal - did you make major changes or just improve documentation?

So I spent months thinking I needed a center channel upgrade. Dialogue was muddy, kept turning on subtitles for everything, the whole deal

Turns out my center was just slightly angled wrong. Tilted it up toward ear level (was aimed at the couch cushions basically), ran Audyssey again, and the difference was night and day

I feel dumb but also kind of relieved it didn't cost me anything. If you're struggling with dialogue and haven't double-checked your speaker placement and re-run room correction after, do that first before spending money

Anyone else go down a rabbit hole before finding a dead simple fix?
