I tried comparing a few options for my student loan repayment, mostly just to see how different monthly payments would affect things long term. I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did. The interest alone over the life of the loan is honestly kind of depressing. Like, I knew interest was a thing obviously, but actually seeing the numbers laid out made it feel way more real. It almost feels like no matter what I do, I’m still losing a big chunk to interest unless I go super aggressive. At the same time, going all-in on payoff feels stressful in a different way because then I barely have anything left for myself. Does anyone else feel stuck between “I need to kill this debt” and “I need to not go insane while doing it”?
