Ugh

Hi guys.

Idk what I'm doing with my life tbh. I'm in my first sem first year of bcomm, and I'm just not enjoying it or doing as well as I want to. I have big dreams and want a lot of money but I'm also realizing I'm a lazy nightmare who doesn't want to do any work.

Totally aware that I'm the problem but all I can think about is that I want to be an elephant because they don't really sleep (like me), just spend their entire day essentially eating (sounds amazing), and seem so unprobablematic and peaceful and calm.

I recently wanted to apply to a CASUAL retail role at one of the Just Group brands, filled out the application, only to find that they needed me to upload copies of my identification, and not just any identification, photo identification specifically

I honestly got so completely pissed bc I'm tired of putting all my personal information online. I have previous work experience, and am happy to answer any written questions, and provide identification AFTER I get hired or before an interview, but for just submitting an application, asking for an uploaded copy of identification feels crazy, especially for a regular retail brand like I was applying for where I wouldn't be handling anything crazy expensive or anything.

It also seems like it could allow for so much racial bias and ageism bc they need a form of identification that provides DOB and a photo, even though they made writing your DOB optional earlier in the application.

I just put down that I didn't agree to submit the documentation and then submitted the application anyway but I doubt anything will come of it.

Just needed to rant bc it felt so intrusive and unnecessary.
