i just got my preceptorship in the pacu and while i’m excited to be in a specialty, i’m a bit bummed. i was hoping to be assigned to hematology/oncology or maybe even a step down unit as i wanted to get the flow of bedside more. from what ive seen online pacu can be a bit slower though i know this is not the case everywhere. for those that have also had a preceptorship in pacu or worked/currently work in pacu, what was your experience like? what did your day to day look like and what should i expect
