I was recently walking around the Phloen Chit area and noticed that, alongside modern buildings and luxury developments, there are still some much older and more modest-looking neighborhoods nearby.
I’m genuinely curious about the history behind this contrast.
Have these communities been there for a long time? Are they part of older residential zones that remained while the city developed around them?
I’m not very familiar with the local history, so I’d really appreciate any context or insights.
Thanks.
