Hey guys! I’m currently sitting on an internship offer from a pretty solid market making firm for next summer. I’m thinking of accepting but am not too sure how much I’ll really enjoy the work.

I’m a macro/econ person more than anything and really want exposure to the broader macroeconomy. Can anyone speak on whether you can get this type of exposure at a market making or prop trading shops? Or is it exclusively in the weeds with market microstructure, order flow, etc.

Obviously it will depend desk to desk and firm to firm but curious to get anyone’s thoughs. Thank you!
