Is there a straight forward way to calculate shade tree placement relative to east/west windows to best shade them in the summer?

I have a single-level house at 44 degree N.

Ideally I could place some very large trees and not worry about their location, but I have limited space and can only fit small trees with one per window so correct placement will make a big difference.
