in detail for cement backer omit screws in bottom 8" as not to puncture pan liner. mechanical fasten between blocking and pan mud...right? the hardie backer detail shows backer board gapped off pan. so are we mechanically fastening with screws, through the bottom edge of hardie backer, where it meets pan, rasied 1/2" to avoid contact, then sinking screw through backer and liner and releying on topical liquid? how is backer fasted at bottom without pieceing liner or embedding
