Hi, I wanted to get some advice before taking my birds to the vet. They’re really flighty and haven’t travelled anywhere before so I want to exhaust all options before having to do that. I also say ‘my birds’ but they’re my mom’s birds, I just take care of them 24/7 and handle literally everything about them, and I don’t know if she’s willing to pay for a visit.
He’s a parakeet, about 5 years old, completely healthy up until this point. I’ve only seen symptoms for the past 2 days. We live in the south of the US.
I’m worried the male budgie has face mites. He interacts a lot with the female but she’s showing no symptoms, but his beak looks like this (attached below)
Any advice would be great, thanks.
