Seriously, I’m so tired of these indie artists using our Queen for clout.
I was scrolling through the AMAs "Song of the Summer" nominees and I saw Jennie's masterpiece Dracula listed with "(with Tame Impala)." Um, excuse me? I looked him up and apparently, it's just some guy named Kevin who lives in a shed?
Jennie literally carried the entire song with her verse and then this "Tame Impala" person just puts some fuzzy noises in the background and acts like he did something? Now his "fans" (all 5 of them) are acting like he’s a genius because he knows how to use a drum kit.
The audacity of him claiming the credits when Jennie is the one with the face, the talent, and the 80 million followers. She basically charity-vocal’d this song to save his dying career. If it wasn't for the Blinks, nobody would even know what a "phaser effect" is.
Can we please stop letting these random Australian hipsters "collab" with actual icons? Stick to your "Nangs" or whatever that elevator music is, Kev, and leave the hits to the professionals.
